Canon PIXMA MP630 All-in-one Printer (Printer/Copier/Scanner)
A retirement present. Dozens of packets of old photos,& my sister gave me an album of snaps from the 30's-40's-50's. The project began. Set up-v easy- and believe me I'm no engineer, although there's a disconnect between the Canon designers/engineers and the manual writers who would benefit from guidance on manual writing- in plain english- with the reader in mind.Print quality excellent- have now sent a couple of hundred prints worldwide- on the original cartridge... A little slow to scan/ digest but more than made up for by the end result.Still puzzled by what I'm supposed to do with the CD draw/slide thingy included in the pack-see comments re manual above A little expensive- but when did you ever regret buying the top of range?- -sadly let down by the paperwork.
Great product - rubbish Canon Support November 18, 2008 97 out of 100 found this review helpful
Initial tests are very impressive. Great printer in colour and mono. As good as my old Epson R800 (when the Epson was new).
One 'funny' though concerning Scanning. The Manual says OPTICAL resolution 4800x9600 dpi. BUT the Scanning options only allow a MAx of 600dpi. Someone is pulling someone's leg here. Contact Cannon Support I hear you say. Well, you try. Round and round and round. Try Faxing them I hear you say. Good luck, their Fax machine has failed to answer in the 5 times I tried.
Great Product. Appauling Support. They should be ashamed... unless it's done on purpose?
