5 out of 5 stars Best Music DVD You Will Ever Buy   December 3, 2008
And thats saying something. It takes something special to beat RATM self titled dvd, Green Day's Bullet In A Bible at Milton Keynes and London Elektricity live at the Jazz Cafe, but the foos have done it with this one.

Ive seen the foos at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and I left annoyed because Dave Grohl had a dog rough voice and barely sang any words the whole time he was suffering second-night syndrome perhaps, but it really took the gloss off the music for me. No problems this time though, I think he made sure this performance was as good as possible and it delivers superbly.

The order of songs was perfection, simple as that. Starting off with The Pretender gets the hairs on the back of your neck up immediately, the next few tracks, times like these, no way back, cheer up boys, learn to fly, long road to ruin, runs you through a nice mix of moderate and heavy tunes and they are performed in such a way that they seem to fly by at a furious pace, makes the first 25 minutes an absolutely stonking start to the show, those tunes are not really fast and furious in all honesty, but the way they are performed increases their enjoyment 10-fold, after half an hour you feel like you have been punched round the head! Especially when you include the next portion- the intensity is turned back up again with Breakout - goosepimples at the ready, and Stacked Actors which sounds awesome live. Now you need a break from dancing and out comes the acoustic for 3 songs, and sandwiched in the middle is My Hero which really pulls on the old heartstrings, another goose-pimple moment. This leads nicely into emphasising the emotive side of Everlong. The manliness is quickly rectified with my all time fave foos tune Monkey Wrench and All My Life - the neck gets a pasting again here. The rollercoaster ride so far has already been amazing and just when you think things cant get any better and the gig is finishing, they get Jimmy Page out to perform a couple of very enjoyable tunes with a bluesy/funky vibe but still hard rockin which gives a nice alternative flavour to the whole show and puts a nice stamp of variety and quality to the whole peformance. This sets you up nicely for the ending and my second all time fave foos tune Best Of You and yet another hair-on-end song.

All in all the best gig I have ever seen, bought, watched or heard, 10 invested very wisely here, no brainer.

5 out of 5 stars A fantastic gig!   November 21, 2008
It's great to have a DVD of a gig one has actually been to. I went to the Friday show, which of course didn't feature Jimmy Page, but it was still a great night. The atmostphere was amazing, which is captured quite well by the filming and the gig was definately a highlight of 2008 for me! A must for any Foo Fighters fan!

5 out of 5 stars The best night of my life?...probably!!   November 10, 2008
I will write this review before viewing the DVD (santa will be buying me this!!), as it was by far the best gig that I have been to this year!!!
(and I've seen Radiohead, Madonna, The Kaisers, Korn...just to name a few)
And I was only there on the Friday so wasn't there to witness Led Zep's input...can't wait to see that one!!
It was one of the best nights I have ever had the atmosphere was amazing and certainly the highlight of my summer (especially as I didn't make any of the festivals!!)
I even adopted a friend for the evening who although well and truely under the influence of alcohol seemed to be having a great time!!

Thank you very much to the Foo's and I hope it won't be too long until you are back at Wembley again!

5 out of 5 stars Buy it   September 22, 2008
If you're a rock fan, buy it. I was there that night so this was a must buy for me but Dave Grohl put it best and I quote "welcome to the best f*****g night of my whole entire life". He's a big time Zep fan and seeing him back on drums with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones playing like it's 1977 again is worth the asking price alone. This is one for those Saturday nights when you've been out and had a few beers, get home and want to carry on partying; stick it on, turn it up and dream of Madison Square Garden in the 70s. Simply awesome.
