Loved This Film September 22, 2008 Showed this film to my friends and they absolutely loved it. This film is very funny and entertaining but says a lot about brotherhood and friendship. I thought the acting was very credible, although I didn't really rate Taye Diggs in this role.
Gem of a Movie! April 26, 2008 This really is a little gem of a movie. I wasn't expecting too much when I watched it but it really was that good. It takes a look at the experiences young men go through in a humourous and flashback style all set to a wonderful soundtrack. If you enjoyed Love & Basketball, Brown Sugar, you'll enjoy this. Definitely worth having in your collection.
A great film October 11, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
So you are getting ready for your wedding and having second thoughts, well thats the position Taye Diggs is in, in this film. His friends are there to help him out and get him to the church on time and they begin to reminisce about the old days in Inglewood where they first met eachother.
I love hose down scene (you'll know what i mean when you watch it!!!)
This film is so entertaining and will keep you laughing and ahhhing until the end. There are some good old school 80's and 90's songs which (although im not old) brought back memories of school romances.
This film is so much better than what you expect to it be, its well written and well acted and so worth having in your DVD collection. Buy it!
super! June 1, 2005 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is a refreshing change from many of the hood type films available.Positive, light hearted and fun with all the right ingredients to make an exceptional movie, which it is. One of my all time favourite films. Everyone should see this film.

Lots of guys have second tought about marriage three hour befor his wedding Roland (Taye Diggs)is having third, fourth and fifth thoughts.Good thing he's got best buddies Slim (Richard T. Jones) and Mike (Omar Epps) around to help sort those feelings out and to remeber teir coming of age days in "The Wood"(Ingelwood,California). From the bog dance to first love, the rites of passage that are part of everyone's growing up are winningly chronicle in this unforgettable tale of laughs and friendship that's set to the most memorable musical grooves of the '80s.
