was a good film November 3, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Most of this film seems to centre around Saddam Husseins early life growing up alone next to a swamp. Most chick flicks nowadys seem to have a similar theme now, and I find it quite tiresome. What IS good about the film is that it livened up by having a computer game feel, and, indeed, I really believed I was in the film at one point. My brother came in the room and I beat him unconscious with a tray. Coyote ugly is O.K. to watch with all the family.
Worst - film - ever. March 18, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was quite simply the worst film I have ever had the misfortune of sitting through. The story was the same as Crossroads (Britney Spears' similarly rubbish film from a few years previous), the acting was hamfisted and the whole thing just made me angry.
Not even the scenes where lots of attractive women dance around in tight, barely-there clothing saved this film. My girlfriend has now been banned from choosing another film to rent for the rest of her life.
I would recommend it for people who hate their eyes and ears.
A charming and always fun film January 29, 2007 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Prehaps not the most thought provoking film out there yet Coyote Ugly is a great Chick flick that even my boyfriend found reasonible (weather or not that was just the hot girls remains to be seen though!). This is the film I have seen the most without actually owning it (yet soon to buy!).
It follows the story of 'Jersay', a song writer who lives with her Dad. She decides to move to the big city to release her song yet is desmaied to find that she can't get her songs out there without singing them her-self. Running low of money she decides to get a job and comes across the bar- Coyote Ugly. A overpacked sexy club where the female only barstaff dance on the bar itself and crowd control is known as throwing a bucket of ice. The shy Jersay trying to manage this job and kick start her career comes across a charming guy and romance insures. In my personall opinion the songs in this are very good and nicely worked into the film without it becoming a strange musical with a camo apperance of Leanne herself at the end of the film.
Chick Flick Extraordinaire September 1, 2006 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Anyone who likes chick flicks will have to like this film.
In fact, anyone who likes good looking girls will like this film! Based around a bar where woman are in charge, this is very much a 'woman making her way in the big bad world' kind of film. Definately one for the 'girl power' evenings and will suit a group of girlfriends settling in front of the T.V. for a night of bloke discussion and bloke bashing!
Complimented nicely by the early music of Leann Rimes, this is a solid film, and provides thoughts for the ladies and eye candy for the guys! Tough to say what I enjoy most about it, it's just a good film.
Great fun! March 23, 2006 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
One of the dvds in my collection that I've watched quite a few times, I never tire of it. Not only does the film have one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard but Adam Garcia looks absolutely gorgeous in it. WHERE IS HE NOW?!! With a good storyline, loads of emotion and a lovely romance, Garcia shows us what a perfect boyfriend should be like!
