I bought this as an extra little gift for Christmas after playing a trial version that came free with a sunday paper. Overall it's good fun, you get a choice of 3, 6, or 9 rounds and whether to choose easy, medium, or hard questions. Not had any problems with repeated questions after a few goes but the statement of video, photo questions is misleading. It's not a question about a clip or photo but there might be a photo etc with some questions making it a lot easier to work out the answer.
My only real gripe about this version it that you need pen and paper, like the real thing, unless playing alone. The later ones from Pub Quiz 2008, of which the trial DVD was of, allow you to choose a team name and use the remote to choose each answer out of 4 possibles. I would have preferred that although by multiple choice it makes it slightly easier, the fact that the DVD keeps your score for each team/player makes it more handy. So if you want realism with pen and paper keeping your own score this is fine, but the later versions have the choice of team names, multiple choice answers and it will keep the score for you!

Had high hopes for this DVD after reading the reviews but was left disappointed with the quiz as after a few games a lot of questions were repeated.

i got this game for xmas 07 and in the first round the same question was asked 3 times. by the fourth round all 10 ten questions had been asked in the previous rounds and it was up to the point that i was questioning the disc. can they not put in some simple code to prevent repeats within a game. this should be paramount. in the end we gave up and played a different game as it had become unplayable due to the repeating. in one round the same question was asked 5 times in a row!!!

The questions on this quiz were at a really good level and covered a wide enough range of topics to involve all the members of a family on Christmas day.
We had several games and it was a bit disappointing that during that time quite a few of the questions were repeated.
Also note that the idea of the game is that you write down the answers (as you would in a pub game) which I hadn't appreciated before buying - although we were all feeling too lazy to do that and so each team took a round each to answer which seemed to work just as well.
We will play this game again when we have got friends round.

Bought this as a game to play over Christmas, but wanted to check it out over the weekend, to make sure it was OK. Ended up Spending most of the weekend playing it. Easy to play & very addictive.I will now have an unfair advantage on Christmas Day, when the family play. However i rarely came across the same questions, over the weekend, so feel there's still alot to be discovered in this game. I like the pub quiz format as the whole family can play. This is the best by far i've played. One word of advice, if you're buying it for Christmas don't do as i did & sneak a peak, as you'll get hooked.
