Try 2005 version!?!?!   March 19, 2006

Software wise, no problem installing, easy to use, daily updates, works better than similar softeware I've used.

Having been quite happy with the 2005 incarnation, I found the firewall on the 2006 version preventing me from Web access and downloading email. Tech support was useless. They took a small eternity to get back to me and when they did they repeated recommendations which I told them I had already carried out - a far cry from the swift responses from the people at Bullguard.
If you think you may require technical support then find another internet security package.

My experience was very similar to c_ram (06/01/06) in that I couldn't install the S/W correctly and it made my PC crash. I also downloaded the latest version from the website and that failed to install with slightly different symptoms. I didn't have to rebuild my PC I just used a restore. I tried contacting Panda support 3 times and have not received any response. I am now using Bullguard on a trial version and it seems fine. I have previously used McCaffee and Zone Alarm. If you can install this product it is probably OK, but obviously there are a number of PCs around that it won't install on!

If you need a security suite that allows for the setting of rules and exceptions, Panda Platinum 2006 is not for you. Tempremental at best, it throttles connections regardless of any firewall configuration you have done.
This was my 5th Panda product and have been very happy with them all, Platinum 2005 being truely an excellent product.
Until now I have had no problems with Panda products and have not needed to contach customer sevice or tech support, now that I do, I find that this is pointless as they have not replied to any of my 5 queries in the last week.
I really am considering buying another 12 months of Platinum 2005 (new box, not renew through Panda), why should I have to turn off the firewall and use the XP sieve version when I have paid for one?
