5 out of 5 stars very good, finally something that works   October 7, 2007
well, i have reviewed a few different softwares and tried countless combinations. Mcafee old and new, norton, zonealarm, kaspersky, f secure, you name it. This panda one though works, quite simply, it loads, updates and keeps spyware and virusus off a treat. Try pc security tester 07 off download.com. This programme checks how good the virus/spyware and hacker protection really is. Bitdefender was reasonable, macafee the same but poor antivirus, norton 07 was aweful? Most of the current suites including 2008 versions I had to boost with another spyware programme to get better results. Free yahoo spyware scanner (ironically from norton)and spybot seemed to really help the other suites out and brought up scores and performance. But thats not good if you are paying all the money for a suite and find freeware is just as good!! However, Panda got the worst stuff and the ones to worry about even the spyware. Not only that it keeps itself quiet and the pc runs and the speed is as it should be. Worth a try this version, I am not sure if later versions really offer alot more, unless you go for a full suite. I may have a look at the 2008 version but am just happy to have a stable and smooth running pc with lots of spyware zapped and destroyed. Recommend this over anything else for pure simplicity. Not too mention it's availabe for a penny?/ Who needs freeware...

This thing is as buggy and clunky as any threat it is supposed to get rid of.
Takes FOREVER to start up, and then doesnt work anyway. STILL TRYING TO UNINSTALL. Everything about this program is a headache. DONT BUY. DONT EVEN TAKE FOR FREE. HORRIBLE PROGRAM.

5 out of 5 stars Titanium 2006   October 21, 2006
I am currently running Titanium 2006 and have been running Panda on all 4 of my computers for over 3 years...I have never experienced any of the problems some of the people on this site complain about. Panda has never been anything other than 100% reliable. In fact the only time it didn't protect me against a virus i emailed Panda from another computer and i got an email back within 8 hours from a real person (i.e. not automated response) and by the next day the update for Panda sorted out my virus problem. If that's poor customer service i don't know what other people are used to. Great Software!

5 out of 5 stars Great anti-virus protection at an affordable price.   September 30, 2006
I had installed all the freeware utilities that were available on the web.Free anti-virus and anti-spyware.All were highly rated by reviewers and i thought my computer was safe from viruses. Then it slowed down, programs played up and things seemed amiss. The PC was nearing five years old and thought it was dying of middle age.Instead,i removed the free anti-virus and installed Panda and ran a full scan of the PC.It found and neutralized a couple of viruses and tons of spyware. The PC was back to running like a good-un,programs loaded faster, the internet was lightening fast and thoughts of replacing the computer disappeared. In my case,i have nothing but praise for Panda and can only recommend it for ease of use, functionality and value. It hasn't slowed my PC,it's actually speeded it up.

4 out of 5 stars Panda Titanium 2006   September 28, 2006

Having successfully used Panda Titanium 2004 & 2005, I was worried after various reviews on here that the 2006 version might drastically slow my 18mth old system down (XP / 512 RAM etc), or even not work properly at all?

I decided to take a chance, and bought one and loaded it in - results initially worried me, as it loaded ok but then took ages to re-boot my computer - I registered it on the Panda website, but then it said it had a Fault, and wouldn't work / protect my system properly??

Having wiped off my almost expired 2005 version I now had a problem? I also knew that, according to many other reviewers on Amazon, that Panda's Customer Help seems almost useless??

So I tried re-booting but to no avail. So then I had to completely removed the software (via the XP Wizard Add/Remove) and tried loading again...

again it said successful loading etc, and so nervously I tried to get it to update itself online...

this time = Success! also when I re-booted my PC = it started to speed up back to nearly normal PC startup speed? (compared to my 2005 Panda software version)

Summary: if you can get this to work = then I think it is probably amongst the best Antivirus & Firewall software on the market. It is better than the usual Norton AV etc - and Speedwise = my computer is pretty much back to normal speed for most things (Office / Music etc)

If you have a standard PC like mine = hopefully it should work ok, but it seems to be somewhat pot-luck?! shame, as it's a really good system, works excellently in the background, and apart from the initial loading up worry, is otherwise very good!

hope this helps?!
