i have bought other secuirty packages but this has to be the best one. much better then norton. easy to set up, easy to fiddle with the setting and faster then norton when it is clean the disks up. i would recommend panda.

last year I used norton IS 06 and was very dissapointed with it, slowed my system,etc. so when the subscription ran out i decided to try out the mcafee suite 07. never have i had so many problems with my PC!! exactly like norton's main problems but 100% worse!! after a week i'd had enough and decided to uninstall. so i did my research and found that panda 06 had hardly any bad reviews at all and decided to give it a shot. i'm very glad i did. within 10 minutes (after registering) i recieved an e-mail offering an upgrade to panda IS 07 for free!! my PC performance has increased by 100% and found quite a few viruses that norton and mcafee had missed while they was installed. will never touch mcafee or norton again after finding panda.

I bought this about two weeks ago because my Norton Internet Security 2006 was due for renewal and I wanted to try something different. Having removed the Norton program via the "Start / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programmes" route; I inserted the disk and Panda loaded without a problem. Its worked perfectly ever since.
Also, it has cured a problem I was having up until then - everytime I connected to the internet, within about a minute my system would hang and refuse to do anything for up to several minutes. The desktop icons would open programmes, but anything to do with the internet just became inoperable. This problem has now gone - so I can only presume it was the Norton product....

I have a 1.6 GHz processor with 256 Mb of RAM and Windows XP. I installed it using the clean boot procedure and other than the wait while it all loads after start up it works perfectly and as they claim. I understand there is an issue with Internet Explorer hanging on early versions but after registering the product I uninstalled it and installed the latest version from clients downloads section of the Panda website (free once registered). No problems encountered with this.
To Boot Clean in Windows XP
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart
After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click OK
4. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer
