1 out of 5 stars NOWHERE near as good as the others   October 8, 2006

I have always loved the rainbow 6 games(Raven Shield for the PC being by far the best and most tactical) and tbh i dont even consider this a true rainbow 6 game.
There are NO tactics involved whatsoever, you can literally walk into a room by yourself without your team (who are utterly useless) and easily shoot everyone with one bullet each! One time i walked into a room with 3 'baddies', and had to reload, i stood in the middle of the room and reloaded whilst none of them hit me, just BAD!!
REALLY [...], the graphics are also terrible and the team all have characters including 2 ladies, all of which provide many cheesy, cringe-worthy lines such as "ok amigo, lets go" which just makes me wanna puke to be honest!!!

4 out of 5 stars Love it!!   January 14, 2006

Just bought the original XBOX, so this is obviously the first game I have and I can't keep away from it. Could do without the sometimes jerky movements of the team members but otherwise, this is a very enjoyable game.
The reviewer who claims to be ex SAS is lying. Those guys are the grey people whom you would never suspect as being members. They know better than to admit to being or having been members. Just another armchair dreamer...
Anyway - good game, enough to keep me up until 0230!!

Being a X-SAS member i personaly know how to fire many weapons. This game is hardly realistic, for example "RAPID FIRE" on the sniper rifles is very unrealistic, because you cannot fire a rifle rapidly without loosing aim, Also the "ammo" is an unrealistic amount.

5 out of 5 stars Best Clancy game yet,   October 10, 2005

This has it all for those, like myself, who want convincing graphics, challenging scenarios and choicee of resources. When this comes in a Tom Clancy package it is well nigh irresistible.I only wish his recnt novels were half as interesting.

I do not play on-line so cannot even uderstand some of the criticisms form other reviewers (nor do I wish to). I also feel some usrs take things rather too seriously. It is, at the end of the day, only a game.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed any previous Clancy game.

5 out of 5 stars Great, quite simply blows black arrow out of the water   September 30, 2005

Reading other people reviews you may get the impression that this game is bad. Well it's not! The people giving it bad reviews seem to be saying it's bad because it's different. This is because they are narrowminded and don't like change. Well i say the changes in this game make it a much better experience to play online. You can create your own character and the more you play the game, the more weapons, equipment, skills you unlock, also you erm money so u can repair or buy more equipment, making the game more like an rpg, also the online mode is more tactical this time, as you sellect what kind of character you are. You can become a medic, and comando, a spec op and an engineer, and if u have one of each of these on ur team when u play online then it will help you dramatically. to sumerise this game basicaly, they have made the game deeper and more involving, and more varity of things to do, it's only those who played black arrow to death who seem not to like this game, but don't listen to them judge it for yourself you won't regret it
